Does Limestone County have a cemetery named Big Hill? If so, can anyone tell me the location? Modene Knight Thornton

And another: Sandy (Hwy 84W to FM 2310; turn right; near Union Church). Jan, Along with one other response I can tell that the Oak Hill Cemetery is it. Do you know anything about the Sandy Community? It is marked on the map. My map shows the location of two cemeteries near Union Church. One is in an area next to the Sandy Community called Henry. The road it is off of looks like 161. It's a short little road from 2310 to 180 near the Union Church Cemetery. Rondina

The cemetery is called Oak Hill on many maps and records. The locals call it the Askew-McCoy Cemetery. -----Original Message----- From: Rondina7@aol.com [mailto:Rondina7@aol.com] Sent: Sunday, April 04, 2004 3:16 PM To: TXLIMEST-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: Fw: [TXLIMEST] Limestone county cemeteries On the Limestone County map there is a cemetery marked on 2310 half-way between the roads junction with 84 and 73 in Coolidge. I understand there was a Cemetery in Limestone County that was sold and the Cemetery plowed under. Does anyone have any knowledge of this cemetery and could there be any records anywhere that lists who all were buried there? I have reason to believe my OWEN(S) were buried there. I have been unable to find them in any other Limestone county cemetery I have searched. Thanks Wanda wandaharbert@charter.net
Thanks again to Bruce Jordan for sending me copies of the cemeteries he has done. I have now removed the copies that I took from http://www.interment.net/ and have replaced them with the copies that Bruce sent me, except for Ferguson, Kosse and Vinson. When I receive those copies from Bruce, I will remove the rest of the cemeteries from interment.net. In The USGenWeb Project, if you get permission from the submitter, that is all it takes, Apparently, it makes a difference to interment.net, so those copies are being removed. David David W.
