My mother, who is 90 in April, and also lives in the UK was born Joan Henderson Gant. We have her tree back to the early 1600's in the UK ( mainly Lincolnshire) with one ancestor, William emigrating the the US sometime in the late 18th century. Let me know if any of this is of interest to your research or if you have any more details on William's descendents in the US. Best regards Steve Williams

Do you know anything about an adopted daughter my Granny may have adopted named Lois. I did find out where she is buried and I bought a grave marker for her grave. I would love ANY info you have on my relatives. But I have been unable to find out if she did adopt a baby - Lois. Her son, my father, Charles Oscar Hudson was her only biological child. Do you know any information on Lois. She was married to Henry Scott. Many thanks, Charline (Hudson) Empey

Surnames: Groves, Breazeale, Brazeal, Breazeal Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/jlB.2ACI/1645.3 Message Board Post: Laura Alice Groves Hudson's mother was Keturah Antoinette Breazeal (Breazeale, Brazeal) who married John Robert (Jack) Groves in Union County Arkansas in 1866. Since I descend from Keturah's sister, Sarah Ann Elizabeth (Liza) Breazeal Ogden, I have extensive data on this family. Keturah and Liza were daughters of Hosea Bright Breazeale (1813-1891) and his wife Sarah Elizabeth Mayfield (1817-1888). Their Family Bible is posted online here: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/la/union/bible/hbbbible.txt Some of their lineage goes back many generations. Bright Breazeale's father is unknown (his mother had him out of wedlock), but his mother was Nancy Breazeale Lawless (1791-1841), the daughter of Joel Brazeal (1750s-1829) and Rebecca Griffin (1750s-1844). Joel's father Henry Brazeal, Jr. is about as far as I have personally researched, but I'm told the line goes back even further. Keturah's mother Sarah E. Mayfield was the daughter of War of 1812 veteran Archibald Mayfield (1794-1833) and Tabitha Bennett (1798-1842), and granddaughter of Revolutionary War veteran Samuel Mayfield and his wife Jane, and Rev. Elisha Bennett and his wife Sarah Todd. All of these lines (except Jane Mayfield's) is proved back at least one more generation. Contact me if you are interested in additional information. Tim

    1. Re: [TXLIMEST] roll call --- Brandon
    2. Billie, I am trying to trace Bunk Brandon. That may not have been his given name. He married Emma Iola Brackin (who went by Ola) probably about 1895 or so. Emma Iola was born in 1877. They had two boys: Charles Allen (went by Allen) who died young and Claude Lee Brandon b. 1897 d. 1980. Bunk may have died (about 1897 or 1898). Emma Iola remarried Edgar/Edward Shrimpton/Shorter. All of this presumably happpened in Limestone, TX. I'd love some help. Tracing him has led nowhere. Kay
