Patricia Thank you for the information. I did not have anything on the Henry A. Copeland family other than his name and Shirley's name. I did have the death dates of Noah and his wife. The Donaho family is new to me. I do have several good contacts from that family line and will forward this message to them. Thanks again for the information. If a post to the list has the following at the beginning of the post: This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list That means that it was posted to the TXLIMEST message board, which is linked to this list. It is a one way link, the list gets the post from the board, but the board does not get posts from the list. Sorry I do not have an Henry Elijah Walker at all. The nearest thing I have is Hiram E Walker born abt 1844 died in the Civil War & do not show that he was ever married. This Hiram Walker's father was Hiram Walker married to Judah George & she had a brother in law named Elijah Chisum. This might be a good Walker family to look at. I only have one Hendon Wiley Hendon b: unknown d: about 1860 married Almeda Frances Unkown. I do not have the names Wingo in my data base at all . To: Patricia Oats: This is not my family, but I looked in the book "A Family History of Limestone County", p. 93: "Richard Columbus "Lum" Randall was born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, son of W. P. and ? Randall who migrated to Texas. He married Malinda Silas "Millie" Eaton on September 3, 1876. They moved to Thornton by 1880 where they built their home, which is still standing. The street was called Randall on the original layout of the city. Lum was a druggist. Because doctors were scarce, Lum served as the local doctor as well. He was a real humanitarian and most times took his pay in chickens and vegetables. During the big depression of the late 1800's, Malinda sold the land she owned around Kilgore to pay debts and keep the drugstore going. Shortly thereafter, the big oil discovery was made on that land. "They had 10 children (two sets of twins). etc. If you want me to send you the entire article, just send me a mailing address. Anyone on this list working on this William Thomas Cox family? This is the Grandfather of Dr. Stanley Cox. After the lady sent the message to the list yesterday I got to searching LA. for this family & found them but just have more questions than I answered. Jerry Lou if you are still on the list this connects I think to your Wright's : John D Cox married Mary Bryant they had Ruth Pearl Cox who married your Uncle Leonard "Earl" Wright. Also have found more info. on the Orlean Marie "Lena" Hillman family. Orlean Marie "Lena" Hillman married another of your Uncles Ernest Clyde Wright. Pat Oates in TX
I have him as the son of William Thomas Cox b: 1820 ,Wilson,TN married Sarah M Doherty b 1839 LA had Dr Joseph Wilmer Cox b: 1867 LA d: 1947 Limestone Co TX. He delivered me because his son Dr Stanley Cox was in the Navy in WW2. Dr. Henry Cox died in 1935. Dr Stanley was just the best Doctor I have ever run into. This family shows up on the 1880 Limestone Co TX census & I do not have a Matthew Madison Cox in the family but that does not mean this is not the same Wilmer Cox they were sure born the same yr. William Thomas Cox was married 1st to Emmerline McKnight in 1852 & I am still trying to work all of their kids out. I will help you more if I can.
