    3. Pat, While in the Oletha area did you happen on the family of Lillian Arenda Brown? She married 1912 (Limestone Co.) to Jess E. Stevens and later to George Rumulus Sanders. I was told by someone that Lillie's family was buried in the Ferguson Cemetery but couldn't locate anything when I went and walked it. They said she may be the daughter of Robert Brown and possibly related to the Mayo's. I have been looking for her parents and the parents of Jess E. Stevens. ----- Original Message ----- From: Patricia Oates To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, November 23, 2001 1:44 PM Subject: Re: [TXLIMEST] addendum to Limestone Surnames Margaret I have no connection to the Wood name at all. 3. I am sorry I omitted the county for 1860 for Elizabeth Miller and daughters, it was Limestone Co TX . Also, the same for Lucinda Miller and husband William Miller at Personville. Again, Limestone co for Gilbert Miller 1860. I thought I proof read this well, didn't see the mistakes until I received it back. Thanks, Pat Tennon Lawton, OK

    3. I will send in my brick wall names again. Morgan Miller born ca 1813 KY. married to Elizabeth( Smith?) listed on the 1830-1840 Claiborne Parish, LA census. children: John, Gilbert, Benjamin, Lucinda, Elizabeth Jane (married Joshua Haworth WRIGHT ) Rose , and Catherine. Morgan Miller and family on the 1850 Nacogdoches co TX census.. Morgan and two of his sons John and Benjamin supposedly hung in East TX as horse thieves between 1850-1860... no proof this is true . In 1860 Elizabeth Jane Miller was listed as head of household with daughters Rose and Catherine listed with her. Another daughter Lucinda had married William Smith and they lived at Personville. Elizabeth Jane had married Joshua Haworth Wright and was in Anderson co TX Son Gilbert Miller working as a hired hand . Does Gilbert Miller have descendants ? Gilbert was born in Claiborne Parish LA, name first appeared on his fathers 1850 census record Nacogdoches co TX. He was in Limestone co TX for the 1860 census, and on the 1870 McLennan co TX census with his wife Matilda and mother Elizabeth Miller . After that I cannot find him. Any help greatly appreciated. This is all I have been able to find on this family other than Elizabeth Jane Miller Wright, my 2nd Great Grandmother. Thanks , Pat

    2. Hi All, Regarding the SPENCER'S listed below. I am researching the Spencer's who moved to Illinois from various counties in Tennessee, ( Moore, Lincoln, Franklin, Davidson). Recently, a Spencer book was presented to me & in entering data from this book to my Tree, I have discovered many Spencers moved to Texas. So some or all of you Texas Spencers may be connected to this line too. Some connections are Waggoners, Gattis, Cole, Barrington, to name a few. I have not completed the Book's info so who knows what other connections I will find. 3. Hi List Friends Where have all of our researcher been for the last few months? I miss all of you & the mail. We can not let 11 Sept 2001 ruin our genealogy. I have not done much myself so I know it is hard to get back to thinking about it. Many of us have been on this list since it started & have worked our lines to death but someone must have something they are searching for. I have not been over to Limestone Co. to do research at the courthouse in several months so I do not have much new going on. Sure would like to hear from this list even if we are posting our lines again. You just never know when someone new will join with the one hint we need. I went over to talk to a man in Limestone Co. the other day about my Husband's Phifer/Ferrill lines & he came up with a picture that belongs to my 1st cousin's family on her other side. It is a picture of her Grandfather's Uncle. So you just never know what will show up where. She has a Bower line that is intermarried with one of the Wilson lines I was working on in the spring & this picture is of that Bower/Wilson family. Pat Oates in TX.
