In close proximity to Anna were brothers Will and Wood Shirley of Kentucky. Find them in 1900 TX-Lamar-Paris Ward 3-District 68-Image 12. Mattie Waymire(30) and widowed was head-of-household. Her children were: Ethel(12), Alice(10), and Alton(8). The Shirley brothers enumerated as cousins. Their parents were Robert Shirley and Artema Moss who wed 5 Mar 1857. This family has been validated through 1840 in Barren County, KY. Whatever happened to James Wood and Anna is beyond me! However, I enjoy challenges and will continue research!
