David C. CARLOCK/KEARLOCK/CURLOCK (s/o Jacob CARLOCK/CARELOCK, George W. CARLOCK/CEARLOCK, David CARLOCK, Frederick CARLOCK/CARELOCK, David GERLACH/CARLOCK, Hans Peter GERLOCH/GERLACH), b. 12 May 1833, Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY; m.#1. Rebecca OSBORN, 29 Aug 1857, Montgomery Co., IL, then divorced; m.#2. Elizabeth "Bets" BOOK, 9 Nov 1858, Jefferson Co., IL, then divorced; m.#3. Elizabeth TURMAN, 1 Jan. 1866, Jefferson Co., IL; d. 16 Aug. 1906, May, Garland Co., AR, is also buried in the Mount Carmel Creek Cemetery, Lake Hamilton, Garland Co., AR. Was Rubin a son of David C. CARLOCK/KEARLOCK/CURLOCK and Elizabeth TURMAN? Although Rubin does not appear in the household of David and Elizabeth in Lamar Co., TX, on the 1880 census, I have not yet been able to find Rubin anywhere else on the 1880 census, either. The 1900 census, Antioch Township, Garland Co., AR, says that 3 of 4 children born to Elizabeth were living at the time of the census (June 18, 1900). The 1910 census, Haskell Township, Coal Co., AR, says that 2 of 2 children were living for this mother at the time of the 1910 census (Apr. 16 - 19, 1910). I have identified the following two children from Elizabeth's first marriage to Thomas N. HICKS, as found on the 1860 and 1870 censuses for P.O. Mt. Vernon, Jefferson Co., IL, and the 1880 census for McClellan Township, Jefferson Co., IL: 1. Stephen A. HICKS, b. ca. Jan. 1860, IL; and 2. Armina "Minnie" HICKS, b. 1861 - 1862, IL. Note that the Joseph HICKS, age 8 in 1870 and 18 in 1880, listed in Thomas HICKS's household is listed as an adopted son in 1880. He may have been a son of Thomas's second wife, Martha WEBBER, whom he married 7 Nov 1865, Jefferson Co., IL. Thomas also had a third wife, Angeline DICK, whom he married 15 Nov. 1877, Jefferson Co., IL. Joseph was listed in Thomas and Angeline's household in 1880. If the 1900 census was correct, Elizabeth TURMAN would have had two more children born to her before the time of the 1900 census. Was Rubin CARLOCK one of those children?
