Kennedy Sr. and Annie Lee Kennedy. She was married to Leonard Lee Hopkins until his death in 1976. She was a school teacher, having taught for 45 years and retiring from Dallas ISD. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a daughter, Anna Penn and husband Jerry of Mineola; grandchild, Leonard Johnson and wife Jennifer of Dallas; 3 step grandchildren, Ricky Penn, Terry Penn and Tracy Brent; 3 Step-Great Grandchildren; a brother, A.J. Kennedy and wife Laura of Dallas; sister-in-law, Eva Kennedy of Sulphur Springs; a niece and nephew. She wa! s preceded in death by her parents; a step-mother, Zettie Kennedy; sisters, Valta Kennedy and Ima Shannon and a brother, John W.
