Born in Lamar County, TX., died in Mesquite, Dallas County, TX. *THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, March 5, 1961: 'Services for T. J. Scott, 88, of Mesquite, a native of Paris, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Gene Roden & Sons Chapel here, and interment made in Meadowbrook Gardens, east of town. Mr. Scott died early Friday in Mesquite at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Bernard Sicotte. Son of Thomas Jefferson Scott, Sr., and wife, who was Polly Ann Wheeler [Lamar County Marriage Record Book 4, p. 352 lists the marriage of Polly Ann Wheeler to W. R. J. Scott, 4 Sept, 1870]. T. J. Scott was born here Dec. 24, 1872. He was a Baptist, and had been a farmer here. He married Miss Elba Mae Bonham, whose death occurred February 24, 1953. Surviving are these children; Ernest Scott, Paris; J. L.
