Shirley, Go here.... http://www.rootsweb.com/~txlamar/cemetery/cemlocat.htm I found a "Old City" Cemetery listed but can't seem to locate it on the corresponding map. You might try e-mailing Ron Brothers rbrother@1starnet.com . Maybe he can help. Matt SHIRLEY FARRELL wrote: > I am coming to Paris to do some research of the Union Grove Cemetery. I tried that, but I do not know what NW Quad 186 means; I went to the Northwest Quadrant, but what does the 186 mean? I will email Ron Brothers, but I was told yesterday that he was having computer problems, but I will try. A big THANKS for trying. Did you follow the instructions that I sent Jim Giddens, at the Lamar County GenWeb site, scroll almost all the way down to OTHER HISTORICAL SITES IN LAMAR CO., click on LAMAR CHAPTER NO. 258-UNITED DAUGHTERS OF THE CONFEDERACY, then scroll down to PHOTO GALLERY PICTURES OF OLD CITY CEMETERY OF PARIS, TOMBSTONES OF NINTH TEXAS INFANTRY SOLDIERS. I was told this is somewhere close to downtown, but I have not been to Paris in years and I just can't remember ever seeing it. Thanks for all your advise.
