I talked to the funeral home, yesterday afternoon, that was in charge of W.H. Courcier's services here in Paris, Texas. The lady there went to their archive vault and got his written records. They had two different death dates in two different places on the records, Feb. 3 and Feb. 5. She and I agreed that probably he died on Feb. 3, but was buried on Feb. 5, 1947 He died at his residence at 905 Holliday St., Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas and was brought back here for burial. They had him as Henry and not W.H. Informant was Mrs. Jamie Parker. He was born here in Paris, Texas His parents were Henry Courcier, born in Illinois and Adalaide Jones, birth place unknown. Survivors were son; Henry Courcier, Jr. of Detroit Michigan sisters; Mrs. Elmer Feiring and Mrs. W.J. Phillips, both of Kansas City; Mrs. B___ Morris of Detroit Michigan. (sorry, can not read my notes) Also 1/2 sister; Mrs. Cole Parker of Paris, Texas The lady at the Funeral home said if you want a copy of the written records, just contact her. There will be no charge, except maybe for postage..unless you have a fax machine. She did not give me her name, but here is their website and you can contact her through it. www.starrettfunerals.com In 1947 they were another name. Since there was no obit in the Paris, News, I would consider contacting a Newspaper in Wichita Falls, Texas to see if they have an archive. Also you can visit these two websites, where there are volunteers in the counties that will do lookups for you. www.RAOGK.com and http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~obitl/ovlist.html Maybe now that you have survivors names, you can eventually find living decendants to share information with.
