Just for information. The Kirkpatrick Bates sounded familiar for some reason. I looked through my files were I had some Bates mixed in with some Beaty names I was collecting and found a KIRKPATRICK BATES married MIRANDA DAVIS March 28, 1869 in Fannin County, Page 40 Book Q. I have a few others Bates also.
