At one time they named it Garrett Memorial Methodist Church on Bonham, St. This Garrett married into the Perkins family. The Perkins were Methodist and some gave lots of money to churchs and to S.M.U. I remember seeing the Church on Bonham St. but was told it changed it's name and moved. Betty Smith
