William Gideon and Lavina (Broadway) Thompson had several children in Bedford co. TN. From there they moved to Arkansas in the 1860's. Then on to Missouri. One of their sons, Jesse W. Thompson and his wife Mary J. (Ledbetter) moved in or near Powderly, Lamar co. Texas in the late 1870's or 1880's. One of their sons stayed behind in Missouri, Jesse Samuel who is my greatgrandfather. Jesse Samuel had 5 brothers that left with his parents. One is believed to have moved to Oklahoma. These brothers names were Billy, Tom, Ed, Walter and Ben. My mother has an old Thompson family album that has pictures of these brothers and some of their families. I would very much like to find descendents of theirs to share family history with. I'm just starting looking for my Thompson family and would appreciate any help that anyone could give me.
