I would like to ask if these names are familiar to any of the list subscribers ? W.B. Calvo and Rosa Sweeney . They are my grandparents and records show they were married in Lamar County Texas, in 1891, Jan. 2. They were from Mt. Sterling, IL , so I was flabbergasted when I found their marriage record in Texas. I can't imagine how they went there or why ? My only lead is that W.B. Calvo was an Artist of Fresco Painting, the art of painting in damp plaster, as when large murals were done in public buildings or the for wealthy homeowners. My only guess is that he may have been in Texas commissioned by someone from the area to do a painting of this kind. If anyone knows where I might search for buildings that may have had this type of art in them or records of homes or buildings of this sort, I would be extremely grateful !! bjm
