Does anyone know if this is true. If so, how would I go about getting records for this? Thanks, Jo Cox
The trial would have been held in the Federal Court in Paris. This courthouse burned in the 1916 fire which destroyed about a third of the city. There is no longer a federal court in Paris; but it might be possible that there are records in a file somewhere. You might check with a federal court as to the possibilities. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, April 29, 2005 5:34 PM Subject: [TXLAMAR] 1906 court records > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YlB.2ACI/2006 > > Message Board Post: > > I have been told that for a murder in Chickasaw nation Indian territory > OK, the court in Lamar Co TX would have had the trial there.
