Emily married a Robert Brocchus from Tennessee who joined a Confederate unti made up of Lamar County people. He was killed in 1864 and after 1865 Emily disappears from Dallas, as does her brother John. Before 1880 a John Thompson marries Amanda Ringo in Grayson County, but John is apparently dead by 1880. There are so many John Thompsons in the area it's hard to know who's who. Any help would be appreciated.
