He was born 9 March, 1918 and his ammended birth cert. shows his birth location as Roxton, Lamar Co. TX. The cert. was received 12 Feb. 1942. My suspicion is that the Massengale's daughter, Moyle, who was 17 at the time was his mother. She was shown to have dropped out of school at just about the right time. I have no other evidence, but what better reason for a couple in their mid 30's to mid 40's to adopt? Any help would be welcomed.
