He married Martha Priscilla "MATTIE" Cunningham on 16 Aug 1887 in Delta Co., TX. Jim died on 21 Sep 1941 in Lamar Co., TX. Mattie, born 22 Feb 1867, was the daughter of Jesse James and Mary Cora (Hurley) Cunningham. Mattie died 5 Nov 1926 in Lamar Co., Tx. Jim and Mattie lived in Delta County during the latter 1800's. Family interviews indicate that one of Jim's uncle's (a George Thompson) also lived in Delta Co., Tx. Also, Jim named one of his sons Phyness after a brother or an uncle with the same name (according to family interviews).
