Downey in Lamar County. In 1909, Laura Downey wed A. N. Stephens of Lamar County. There are also other Downeys and Cochrans that lived in Powderly and Paris during this time and after. The Cochrans and the Downeys may have met each other in Alabama. I'm not sure where Stephens came from ? Please contact me with any info!!!
