I know this community is long gone and maybe it was only a church and nothing more. It actually may be in Delta County now but in 1850 it was referred to as being in Lamar. I have an old family letter from C.C. Perrin in which he writes he was born near Paradise Church in 1848. Any help will be appreciated. Mary Jackson
It appears that many of the Perrin family are buried, beginning in 1850, in Compton Cemetery. I know nothing of Paradise Church, but suspect it was in that vicinity. The location is in SW Lamar County near the Delta County line. Check the cemetery records in the LCGS website <gen.1starnet.com> (no www) ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, July 08, 2005 3:50 PM Subject: [TXLAMAR] Location of Paradise Church > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Perrin > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YlB.2ACI/2038 > > Message Board Post: > > I am looking for the location of Paradise Church in Lamar county around > 1850.
