My great grandmother was Minnie Long. And as far as my mother remembers she had 2 sisters: Flora and Frankie (could be Frances) My mother also remembes Minnie as a orphan. The 1900 census for Lamar County lists Minnie Long as a orphan living with a family she is 16 years old. Minnie married Charlie Elmore. He was quite a bit older than her but married her to "take care of her". He died not long after they were married and she married my great grand father Thomas Washington Mcfadden.
