My mother trained at that hospital, to become a registered nurse, before WWII where she service in the 11 evec. Unit as a 1st Lt.... It was a General Hospital with a ward for Mental Health. The word Sanitarium in Hospitals was used a lot in 1940's in some cases it only stated that they had Mental Health units in others it was only a Mental Health hospital. Hope this help.
