I am assuming that Nick is short for Nicholas or something. The McKinney boys did not talk about their father and no one really know much. I have ordered a copy of the marriage license and hope that it will lead to another clue in this mystery. I know that once my grandmother said that Betty left Nick and married Mr. McCoy but now is saying he died. I am going to follow the other scenerio to see if it plays out anywhere. Betty Nerren remarried Albert McCoy in 1900 after Nick McKinney died. My grandmother (age 94, Cleburn's daughter) said that Nick died and is buried in the McKinney area. My cousin (Thomas's daughter) said that Thomas said that they lived in the Ben Franklin area and Nick was buried in the Lamar County area. Nick and Betty had 4 children, Edward Taylor (b. 1889), Cleburne Oliver (b. 1892) and Thomas (b. 1894) and Kirby (b. unknown, died I believe as a child also in the same area). Any information would be greatly appreciated. I would love to be able to provide this information to my grandmother before she passes away. If anyone who visits the cementeries in this area would keep a lookout for both Nick and/or Kirby McKinney, I would appreciate it. Nick would have died after 1894 (when Thomas was born) and before 1900 when Betty remarried. Kirby would have lived between 1886 and! 1900. Thanks. In 1900 Lamar co. TX, Dock Tomblin is 34, born 1866 in Georgia dau Maud E Tomblin is 13, born Mar. 1887 in TX, father b GA, mother b TN dau Nellie J. Tomblin is 7, born in TX dau Effie is 4, born in TX I cannot find the family in 1910, or 1920. Probably the spelling is way off as I noted many other spellings of Tomblin. In 1930 Lamar Co. Tx, Dock is 64 and living in his daughter Nellie Ausmos' house. Since I don't know who Maud married, and she was not obvious in the Lamar Co. marriage list, I did not find her after 1900. Barbara

This ceremony and the installation of a marble grave stone and SRT bronze marker was organized by the John O. The ceremony is open to the general public, and in particular descendants of Dillard COOPER and other related Cooper family members.
