    1. Re: [TXLAMAR-L] IS THERE ANYONE ON THIS LIST?
    2. Hi all. I'm still here too (smile)! Have been looking for any information re: Pleas Watson aka Joe Copeland who was killed in a gambling shootout in Paris, Tx. in Sept. 1902. My husband's line goes back to Joe Copeland, or is it Watson, lol! I have one piece of information which says Joe Copeland m. Jessie Nettleton, yet another says his father in law was a Dr. Adams. Any and all insight is very appreciated. All apparently resided in Paris but I can find no mention of Jessie Nettleton or a wife named Adams. Thanks and have a great day! Nancy

    2. Hello, I just found out that my Joe Copeland is actually Pleas/Pleson Watson and was well-known in Lamar Cty. (Paris, Tx.), Dallas and San Angelo. If this is true it opens up a couple of new family lines: Yaws and Tom, also from Lamar Cty. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated! Apparently Joe Copeland was killed in a shootout in 1902, Paris, Tx. He had a wife and 3 children but I have no names. Was this wife a Copeland or was she a Watson? Thanks in advance for any and all help. Historically yours, Nancy Copeland

    1. [TXLAMAR-L] Isom Clark
    2. Help!, I am seeking information and assistance on locating my Clark family ancestors in Smith/VanZandt Co. The 1850 census of Van Zandt lists Isom Clark, b. 1797. It also included Joseph Clark, b. 1825, Tennessee. These two families lived next to each other in that census. In the 1860 census, both families lived in Smith Co. I believe that this Isom Clark is my ggg grandfather and Joseph Clark is my gg grandfather. I believe that Joseph had at least two sons and they were named Isom Jackson Clark and Benjamin Franklin Clark. Benjamin Franklin was born in Missouri in 1847, and is listed on the 1850 census. Isom Jackson Clark was born in Van Zandt Co., in either 1851 or 1857, and is listed on the 1860 census. Benjamin Franklin Clark left Smith Co. and moved to Williamson Co. where he was married to Martha Donnell. He lived in Williamson Co. for a short while before moving to Bell Co. and then to Brown Co for the census of 1880. He is then located in Lamar Co. for 1900. Isom Jackson Clark left VanZandt/Smith Co and travelled to Williamson/Burnet Co where he was married in 1877 to Margaret Greer, daughter of James and Amanda Greer. I would like to share information with anyone doing research on this family. Also if you should know of anyone doing research on this family, I would appreciate receiving their name and address.
