    1. [TXLAMAR-L] Benjamin Franklin Clark
    2. Hello Lamar Co., I am in search of information on Banjamin F. Clark and his wife Martha F. Clark. They are listed on the 1900 census of Lamar Co. with their children. They were listed on the 1880 census of Brown Co., Tx. and befopre that they lived in Bell and Williamson Co., Tx. They quite possibly could have moved to Red River Co. after 1900. Would like to talk to anyone who might have any information on this family. Keith Reed 1101 Crowley Rd. Arlington, Tx., 76012

    3. Sandy, I don't know if this will help you or not but my greatgrandfather, John Landrum's family was in St. Francis Co., AR in the late 1800's from TN and GA earlier. Then his widow and my grandfather, James Landrum moved over into Indian Territory around 1900. Your Synthia Landrum could have been connected to them. Hope this helps on location. 3. I didn't remember if I put my information out to the group, so I thought I would go ahead and do that. My great grandfather was one of five boys orphaned by William Whitney and Virginia (Raines) Whitney. We have located "Bill" and "Jennie"'s marriage information (July 1885 in Lamar County), and have birth information of the five boys (William Wesley, Robert, George, Mcclaine, and Jesse), but have heard that there was Cherokee lineage. I have been in contact with Raines relatives, but we have not been able to find parents for either Bill or Jennie. If anyone can help or if anyone is related to this line, I would love to hear from them. Thanks, Melissa

    1. [TXLAMAR-L] Lock / Locke
    2. Hi all , just rejoined this list after a long while of being away :) Years ago I was searching for my Lock(e)'s in Lamar County Texas but had never found one piece of evidence that they had ever lived there but was going on the word of a distant Cousin of mine who claimed our family had lived in Paris Texas in the 1850's . After 5 years of research and not finding anything to prove my family had lived in Lamar County Tx , I gave up . Today I recieved a CSA Widows Pension file on Francis Annie Lock who was married to Edward R. Brewer . In the Pension application it clearly states that Frances Annie Lock was married to Edward R. Brewer in Paris Texas in April 1856 , ( April 30th 1856 to be exact ) so my search in Lamar County Texas starts all over again from the start ! :) I am searching for any information on the descendants of : George Francis Lock . Descendants of George Francis Lock 1 George Francis Lock b: January 1812 in Barren County ? , Kentucky d: Aft. 1880 in Parker? or Johnson? I have already looked at the 1850 and 1860 Lamar County Texas Census and my Lock(e)'s are not listed as they were living in McCracken County Kentucky in 1850 and in Collin County Texas in 1860 , so if they actually lived in Lamar County Texas it wasn't for very long before moving on . Is it possible that there is a marriage record for Edward R. Brewer and Frances Annie Lock in Lamar County Texas in 1856 ? To date , the oldest Marriage Record I have found available in Texas was dating back to 1864 in Cooke County Texas and I was pretty shocked that one even existed back that far ! :) Thanks in advance for any help Donald Locke Locke Family Genealogy web site . http://members.aol.com/LOCKEroots/index.html
