My great grandmother, Mary Catherine Mynn married Frederick C. Bell on January 23, 1891 in what is now Delta County (earlier I believe it was part of Lamar County. They married in Ben Franklin, TX and raised their children there. I so not have any information on the parents of Mary C. Mynn. I cannot find mention of any Mynn's in the Delta Co., Help! He married Martha Priscilla "MATTIE" Cunningham on 16 Aug 1887 in Delta Co., TX. Jim died on 21 Sep 1941 in Lamar Co., TX. Mattie, born 22 Feb 1867, was the daughter of Jesse James and Mary Cora (Hurley) Cunningham. Mattie died 5 Nov 1926 in Lamar Co., Tx. Jim and Mattie lived in Delta County during the latter 1800's. Family interviews indicate that one of Jim's uncle's (a George Thompson) also lived in Delta Co., Tx. Also, Jim named one of his sons Phyness after a brother or an uncle with the same name (according to family interviews). I am seeking information on this family I have not been able to find out who the father was, but following naming pattern of the time, it might be James or Basil is connect in some manner . --------------------- Priscilla Hunt born about 1802-05, possibly in VA ? married to unknown Hunt who died about 1848/49 I believe that they lived in the area of Blackjack Grove between Cumby and present Miller Grove. Priscilla married their neighbor, John A. Parsons as she was enumerated in the 1850 Census for Hunt Co, TX with him. Priscilla died about 1856 and her and children by her Hunt husband, were enumerated with John A. Parson in the 1860 Census for Hopkins Co, TX Children of Priscilla and Unkn Hunt are: Serena Hunt Born about 1836 in VA, married Stephen M. Woosley on 04 Dec 1862 in Hopkins Co.TX Rebecca Hunt, born about 1839 VA married James F. Wilkerson on 04 Dec 1860 in Hopkins Co. TX James Basil Hunt , born 20 Sept 1844 Lamar Co. TX married Sarah Susan Tollett 30 Aug 1865 in Hopkins co, TX and moved to Fairview, Wilson, TX where he died in 13 Apr 1938 James Basil Hunt served in the Confederate Army from about 1862 to 1865 at which time he married Sarah Susan Tollett. His second son, James Welsey Hunt in my grandfather ! I do not know anything on your particular line , but , I live in Paris and go to church with some familys named Hood . They seem to be quit a large family , too. My oldest son is friends with one of their sons , and I am friends with the parents . There are 2 brothers and a sister who go to my church with their familys. The brothers are Lynn and Dale Hood , and the sister is Mary Ann Hood Miday . The children and spouses of one brother and the sister all attend church here , and the other brother and his wife attend here . Also , their grandmother attended here , until her health went down . Now she only attends once in a while. Her name is Annie Holley . They also have some cousins here , too. If any of these names rings a bell , let me know , and I will be glad to ask them about it .
