    3. I have posted to the list several times but have never had an answer to any post on the Bassano's. I have the names of a lot of Bassano and who they married and from that list there have to be some Bassano's left in Lamar Co. My Mother was an Albright and I have her family back to their arrival from Germany but I know very little about the Bassanos except they came from England. Donald

    3. It was a regular hospital, it was also used to school nurses (RN) my mother was a student there, I have some of her notes and records while she was there. It did have a mental ward as does many hospitals. Her cert. of nursing as a RN was from the Sanitarium hospital. Donna -----Original Message----- From: Jim Giddens [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, November 28, 2004 5:06 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [TXLAMAR] Re: Paris Sanitarium I thought the Paris Sanitarium (hospital) had a name change and a location change to McCuistion Hospital on the north side of Paris and has recently been sold twice but still operating as a combination with St Joseph Hospital as Paris Regional Medical Center. Someone correct me if I am wrong. The name Sanitarium made me think when I was a boy, a mental hospital. Maybe it was not a regular hospital, but as far a I ever heard it was. Probably some others have better input on this than I do. Part of the old hospital (one of the buildings) was until recently use as the City of Paris Police Dept. A soft drink company was it a building next to it that has the looks of the old hospital. When I was a small boy (in the 40s and early 50s) I recall us driving into Paris from the west on US 82 and the road would split around the hospital. Today the street does not split.
