Good Evening: I hope someone is willing to help me, I found on the Lamar Co. site a marriage for a RICHARD McQUEEN(S) to ANNIE GRASS, 26 Jul 1888. I believe that her name should be Annie GROSS, would someone be willing to check the marriage record and see how old she was, her place of birth and any other information that might help. Richard was married to Susan Gross, the older sister of Annie (if she is a Gross). My Mother was an Albright and was born in Lamar co. I have finished the work on the Albrights and her Mothers family the John Brown Hilliard family. I do need help on the Bassano family. I have the Bassano's back to England to the early 1700's. BUT I have almost no information on the Bassano family in Lamar co. I am also looking for information on the Robert F. Bradberry family .Robert was born 1802 in VA. He married Mary F Pettes in 1832. (She also was born in VA.Oct 16, 1800) They had the following children. Robert Henry Bradberry b.19 Nov 1832 d.25 Dec 1837 Francis A Bradberry b 9 July 1835 Susan Bradberry b 9 July 1837 in VA. d 12 Oct 1870 in Lamar Co. TX. She is survived by Charles Hudson, her husband of 63 years, and her two daughters, Pamela Nelson and husband Bill, of Dallas, and Susie Moseley and husband Sam, of Sugar Land. Lanell was an intelligent, graceful and beautiful woman who celebrated and cherished life with her family and friends. She grew up in Bay City, Texas, and was graduated from Texas A&I University in Kingsville. When she was a college senior, she met Charlie, the true love of her life. They spent most of their years together in Dallas, but also lived in Midland, Oklahoma City and Denver as Charlie rose up the executive ranks at Mobil Oil. Just six months after their wedding, Lanell and Charlie were separated during World War II for more than three years. During Charlie's absence, Lanell taught English and algebra in Bay City, where she was a treasured asset. ! Lanell placed her family as her highest priority, and was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. An extremely generous soul, her favorite holiday was Christmas, and she instituted meaningful traditions that have lasted throughout several generations. This year, Lanells family was blessed with her final Christmas present, which was to bring them all together to experience her final days in Dallas. She was known as a faithful friend to many, and entertained often in her home. An accomplished bridge player, she belonged to numerous clubs and played several times per week. She began each day with a crossword puzzle and ended each evening with a good book. Lanell and Charlie were world travelers who took trips frequently, both alone and with friends. They particularly liked England, Switzerland, Caribbean cruises, Cape Cod and San Antonio. Fine jewelry, costume jewelry, gardenias and peach roses, antique furniture and colored glass -- Lanell nurt! ured many interests and loved beautiful objects. She cultivated severa l collections during her life, but none so enjoyable as her miniature pieces. She decorated and furnished many dollhouses and cabinets, and researched this field so extensively that she became a contributing writer to national miniature magazines. In addition to her husband and daughters, she is survived by her grandchildren, Keith Nelson and his wife, Julia, of Washington D.C., Charlie Nelson and his wife, Michelle, of Carrollton, and their children, Ava and Jack. Also Sarah Steele and husband, Josh, of Dallas, Charlotte Moseley and Amelia Moseley, Sugar Land. Preceding her in death are her parents, David Morton and Rosena Curtis of Bay City, and two brothers, Morton Curtis, Houston, and Robert Curtis, Victoria.
