I have the transcribed 1870 and there is nothing that I can find that even LOOKS like Birdsong. Gloria Fort Smith has a great genealogy department. And they have lots of old records dating into the 1880's. The have a online website and will do some lookups for free. They will most definelty tell if they have newspaper for that time period. All the newspapers they have are on micofilm. And if you need them to do actual research they do it rather cheap. 5.00 an hour I think. LOL, I know all this because I moved about two years ago from there. Phyllis, I found a M B Reed but no N B Reed Age 14 born in Tennessee. Did not find A J Roberts. There's an Andrew Roberts listed. Age 35 born in Virginia.
