Now a there was a fire in a federal building that destroyed many counties census records for the year 1890. If you get a chance to the page- www.rootsweb.com/~txkaufma It is Kaufman Counties Genealogy web page and has a lot of information about Kaufmans past, this is where the picture of the courthouse is.

    3. Hi, My dad was born in 1913 around Forney, and he didn't have a birth certificate. I helped him get a delayed birth certificate back in the 1960's, so maybe they weren't that diligent in reporting births back then. Have a great evening. Sharon Clark Fort Worth, TX [email protected]
