There are no Death Certificates in Kaufman County prior to 1903, and even after then & until about 1905-1906, they are sparsely recoreded. Seems it took them awhile to catch on to the state Death Certificate ruling in Kaufman County... If you know what Church they belonged to you might inquire there. If they were Methodist, then SMU might be a good resource. If they were Baptist or Catholic or even Jewish, there are records for those entities, also, all available in Dallas. With death dates 1880-1890 your best bet is going to be obtaining copies of obituaries or death Notices from the newspapers for proof of death.
