My Nelson family is from Kaufman Co., Texas. My great-grandfather, Clifford Mason Nelson, was born in Scurry in 1902. Clifford's father, William Lewis Nelson, was married to Maggie Amanda Swayze in Kaufman in Dec 1892. This , however, is the earliest records I can find on this family. William's parents are H. M. Nelson and Alpha Miller. William's birth certificate lists his birth as 22 jan 1870 in Texas. No other information about their origin is given. As for a Pascal Nelson, I have not yet come accross this person.
