They came to TX and settled in Kaufman Co. Capel & Elizabeth both died in 1881. location & burial place unknown. Brother of Mattie, William Raphael PIERCE (1858-1931) m. Ophelia FOREMAN, was named for his father's twin brother. An infant, parents William & Ophelia, is buried near Jim LEWIS. By 1910, Mattie LEWIS had moved to Electra, Wichita Co. TX.
