My maiden name is Royka and I am looking for information on my father side of the family. My father's name is Charles Jerry Royka, born on March 20, 1919 in Terrell, Tx (Kaufman). His father's name was Frank Royka (possibly originally spelled Rojka) and his mother's name was Louisa Jane Hanselka (possibly originally spelled Hanzelka). I know that Frank immigrated to the United States from Bohemia in the early 1900s and died in either December 1918 or January 1919. Louisa died in the late 1950s or early 1960s. Frank and Louisa Royka had the following children: Frank Jr., Jane, Agnes, Julia, Helen and Charles (my father). I do not have any information on Frank's family. Louisa's parents were (I think) Henry and Jane Hanselka (Hanzelka). I do know that they had a very large family and Louisa was their oldest child. The only thing I know about the Hanselka children is that several of the girls married into the Kuban family. They also had an adopted or foster brother named Jerry Novak. As far as the mother, Jane Hanselka, her maiden name was Barta and I believe that her mother's name was Teresa Barta. Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
