I'm the great-great grandson of Isaac Newton Brewer. I'm through the line of LeAda Catherine 'Ada' Brewer (McMahan), she married James Robert McMahan and their daughter Amanda Ellen McMahan (Gray) was my grandmother. Amanda married Silas Alexander Gray and their son Arvis Dean Gray is my father. Years ago I believe I found an information card you had left at the Dallas Library about the Kirk's in Tennessee and how Stephen Kirk raised horses and disappeared during the Civil War. I believe this card dated back to the late 1960s or early 1970s. I sent a letter to you however it came back. So it was great to find you on ancestry. I have a decent amount of information on the Brewer's especially Isaac Newton Brewer. I do a have a picture of him, a civil war pension, a copy of his discharge papers that I got from a relative and some family information that I can share. I also know that his great-grandfather William Brewer served in the American Revolution and I have a copy of that pension. I would greatly appreciate any information that you know about the Brewer's or Kirk's. From the looks of things it appears that my grandmother Amanda Ellen McMahan and your husband's mother Cara would have been 1st cousins. Thank you very much.
