He was in the first company of Texas Rangers in 1836 and later in the Army of the Republic of TX. His daughters, Mary Ann and Martha inherited land given to him for his service. The records of the sale of Mary Ann's portion should be in Kaufman County. Mary Ann was said to be a cousin to Cynthia Ann Parker. He may be buried there, too. I would appreciate any assistance. Linda
