Surnames: Wade, Griffith, Nolan Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FkB.2ACE/1623 Message Board Post: Captain Wade was sick in hospital in August and September 1862. It is rumored that Henry lost his arm during war and returned to fight some more after his recovery. Searching for any info on Captain Wade's wounds during the Civil War. This information is for a Wade relative in the mid-east who is writing a Wade book. Captain Wade was listed present for duty in December 1862 during the Holly Springs raid. Especially interested in any info whether health or his actions. The 6th TX was part of the Texas Brigade and led the charge into Holly Springs commanded by Lt. Col. John Griffith. This was one of the most successful raids of the war.
