Dianne, do you know any of George Washington or Richard Jones's brothers? I am wondering if these two could possibly be related to my Jesse L. Jones that came to Kaufman County in the 1850's. We think he left his parents and siblings, sold his land in Houston County TX. and moved to Kaufman Co. TX. where he married Mary (Mollie) Louisa Moody in 1859. He possibly was visiting relatives and met his wife, Mary Louisa. I am trying to find something that could connect George Washington Jones, Richard Jones and Jesse R. Jones (Jesse R. is Jesse L. Jones father. He lived in Houston County. TX. ) George Washington Jones was 73 years on the 1860 Census.....Richard Jones was 62 on the 1850 Census and Jesse R. Jones was born in 1788-89 and in 1850 he would have been 62-63 years old. Jesse R. Jones was born in S. Carolina, but no one has been able to find him there. I think it is possible that his family lived in N. Carolina. I am interested in what you have and hope there is a connec! tion. Thank you.
