Please read and see if you have seen any of these people. James Anderson D. LATHAM was born in SC in 10-15-1811. He died in 2-10-1873 Tx. He married Mary COLLINS 5-25-1837 in Troup Co. Ga. She was born ca 1817 the d/o Levin COLLINS. (Levin COLLINS Will was dated 2-1-1854 Troup Co Ga. Levin named James and Mary LATHAM's 4 children in his Will. Mary had already died be the time of the Will. Levin died in 1855 Upshur Co Texas and his Will was Probated 1856 Upshur Co) James A D LATHAM and Mary COLLINS had 4 children. I believe they were all in Tx by about 1866. Possibly Harrison Co. Their children were; 1.William A. LATHAM ca1841 Ga. Married Martha Jane DUKE 12-8-1861 Russell Co Al. Martha Jane was born ca1837-8 the d/o Henry Matthew DUKE. In 1880 William and Martha were living in Bell Co Tx. Their children were, James Matthew, Mary Frances, Lazarus L, Robert Tillman, Matilda A & George A. 2.Mary Jane LATHAM ca 1843. 3.James Riley LATHAM ca1845-6. I think I have found him in Johnson Co Tx in 1870. His wife was Mary P. ca1848 and a child Francis P. b. 6-1870. In the early 1880s he is listed for several years on the Tax List of Bell Co Tx. I have not found him in an 1880 census. 4.Nancy Ann "Kitty" LATHAM ca 1848-9. James Anderson D. LATHAMs second wife was Mary Susan Wilmouth DUKE. They married 1-23-1853 in Russell Co Al. They are found in the 1860 Russell Co Al census. Watoola Township. Their children were; 1. Sarah Manan LATHAM b.1854 Russell Co 2.Francis Scoldin Nostic LATHAM 1855 married J. C. OXLEY in 1875 Comanche Co Tx. According to her obit her family brought her to Harrison C tx when she was 11 years old. 1866? She died in 1832 Hamilton Co Tx. 3.Moses Hardy LATHAM b.1857 Russell Co Al d.1936 Kaufman Co Tx. He married Nancy Ann WILLIAMS 1879 Johnson Co Tx. 4.Senia Elizabeth LATHAM b.1859 Russell Co AL. 5.George Aaron LATHAM b.1860 Russell Co. d.1944 Hico, Hamilton Co Tx. Married Zula "Mattie" SNELLINGS 1884 Hamilton Co Tx. 6.John Henry LATHAM b.1861 Russell Co d. 1944 Hico Hamilton Co Tx. Married Susan Jane MINYARD. 7.Martha Josephine LATHAM b.1865 Russell Co Al. 8.Wilmouth Ophelia Evelyn LATHAM b.1870 Rains Co Tx. d.1930 Johnson Co. Married John M. MAXEY in Ellis Co Tx.
