Looking for descendants of Clarisa McBee & Johnson W Wortham, I have their Bond for marriage dated 30 Aug 1837 in Hardeman Co., TN. Do not know for sure that they married as I don't have the License-but if they did what happened to them where did they go etc., we believe Clarisa is the daughter of Obediah McBee and Catherine Fann. I do not find them on any census. I find 2 land grants to a John Wortham #912 & 913 in Van Zandt Co., TX, issued in Dec 1851. Clarisa's brother William H McBee helped establish both the Counties of Kaufman and Van Zandt and already had land there and died there in 1852.
