I have Andrew Jackson (my g. grandfather) who was married to Millie Pike listed as having James Madison Daugherty and Nancy Jane Hansford as his parents. All the records on ancestry.com show this to be the case save one. That one says that his father was John David Daugherty and it comes from the book "The History of Kaufman County." Now what in the world is going on here? Clearly this is my A.J. Daugherty. The children from both sources are listed as being the same with Christopher Columbus Daughtery being my g. grandfather and his daughter Ruth being my grandmother. It.is just that someone has listed him as having a completely different set of parents. The history book says his father is John David but, all the other records have his parents as James Madison and Nancy Jane Hansford! What is going on with this?? Does anyone else here have these people in their line? I really am confused now!

Yours is not the only incorrect information in the Kaufman County History books.
