The bell has engraved on it: Kaufman County Public School 1941-1942 Grays Prairie Junior High Bill Cain- Principal Do you know of any information about this bell or who I might ask about it? I love it and would love to have some history to go with it.

You could also try the Kaufman County Library at www.kaufmancountylibrary.org. Their phone number is 972-932-6222. At one time there was also a Kaufman County Historical Society who could probably help you but I don't know how to contact them. I know there is still a Grays Prairie Community in Kaufman County on Hwy. 148, but I've never heard of a Junior High School there. However, that was probably before my time.
