    2. Linda, Do you know if your grandmother was ever married to a William R. Long? The reason I ask is the family story was his second wife took arsnic poision and died. We haven't been able to find any information to confirm or deny the story.Do you know if she had a step-son? Bonnie

I have conflicting dates of death: June 1924 and 21 Jun 1925, 17 Aug 1925, and 27 Aug 1925. She is buried in Royse City Cemetery, Rockwall Co., TX under the name Rebecca Ann Williamson next to her parents Benjamin and Jane Hisaw even though she had remarried to James Parnell after the death of her first husband James Monroe Williamson. She also went by the names Annie and Becky. She died after taking arsnic. Any help would be appreciated as I have ran into a brick wall. linda_baker@cox.net

She was the daughter of James Monrow Williamson and Rebecca Ann (Hisaw) Williamson. The family was living in either Kaufman Co., or Hunt Co., TX. I had no luck finding info through the Texas State Dept. of Health. She was seven years old (bn 20 Jun 1910) when the tail of her dress caught on fire when she got too close to hot coals after the laundry was done. She is buried in New Salem Cemetery outside of Terrell, Kaufman Co., TX. Any help will be appreciated.

He was married to Ellen Wiseman Hennessee who died in Kaufman County (?) in 1898. His children Rosetta Jane aka Rosa (b.1887) and Walter W. (b 1885) were born in Texas. Rosa is listed in the Kaufman County online marriage list as marrying Claud L Collier on 7 Nov 1905. Elmore's first son, James Markus Hayes (my g-grandfather) was born in Warren County, TN. Family info says Elmore C. Hayes died in Kaufman County but I have been unable to find him listed on any of the cemetery listings. A cousin said she came to Kaufman County years ago trying to find his grave and was unsuccessful. Any help in locating any other information on this family will be greatly appreciated.

    2. My Great Aunt Alice E. Allen married Robert Hamilton. They moved to OK but she divorced him and moved back to Terrell. On the 1920 census she was head of house in Terrell. In 1930 census she lived in OK with her son Gerald. Does anyone know what happened to her after that? Her grandson Robert Hamilton b 1939 said she signed his baby book. She has Edith md Claude Shipley, Gerald, Mary, Lucille and Robert c. Mary and Lucille both died young and are buried in Terrell. I have found no record of Alice. Gerald had a dau Peggy, I am wondering if she lived with her. When He died in OKC no survivors were listed. He did in 1959. any help out there? Wanda

When his sons were 5 and 2 abraham died. she remarried henry toal and had four more children: Rosenna, charles(is a tomestone in gholson century, noxubee county for him died in 1822); nancy jane and robert emmett toal. It is stated that she remained close to her son, HD (Hillard judge shands) and accompanied him to texas after the civil war. My ancestor is her son, Almaren Shands. Further info says he was a Methodist minister, who died in 1876 in Searcy, GA. I have not been able to find him on a 1860 census/ Any suggestiosn> I would like to double verify that my gggrandmother, Sarah Ann Palmer, was his child.
