Surnames: Norrell, Cozart, Young, Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FkB.2ACE/1581.1.1 Message Board Post: William Henry Harrison Norrel's from what I have, possibly had 4 wives and 21 total children and although I've got quite a bit of information, the which kids belong to which wives is difficult. I know for sure that Nettie was not Mary's daughter. In Lula Norrell's obituary (d. 4/27/1992), it lists that her mother was Mary Brown but also lists that she had a half sister still living "Nettie Mears from Sayre, OK". According to obituraires/cemetary records Mary Brown did have: John Franklin Norrell b. 12/30/1896 d. 5/21/1976 Lula Mildred Norrell (Hinds) b. 5/18/1904 d. 4/27/1992. If Nettie was born in 1900, not sure why she would be a half sister to Lula. On William's wives I have: Rosslee King (first wife) d. 8/29/1893 3 months after birth of Katie)....I am desended eventually through this particular spouse) Comollie Cody (second wife)....although I can't find any info on her. Mary Brown (third wife) Martha Walton (forth wife & he is buried next to her) Beulah I have as being born in 1899 and died in 1906 secondary to burns. They may not have listed her because she was less than a year old on the 1900 census. Rosslee was from Georgia, Martha is from Arkansas, Mary I have from Titus County, TX. Your guess is as good as mine. I'm still looking at all of the information. Probably need to focus on Comollie Cody who is suppposed to be buried by her first husband.

I understand that some death records may have been kept at that time in the County Clerk's office. Or there may be a record of who committed this person. I am trying to obtain information on Joseph H. Gresham, born Dec 1846 in Alabama. If anyone is making a trip to the Clerk's office, I would truely appreciate a lookup! Thanks, Kathy

The Terrell State Hospital will not relese hardly any info on the people who were patients due to state privacy laws. The cemetery that the patients were interred in is now called The Wildwood Cemetery. When patients were buried in the cemetery the gravemarker that was allowed included only the patients number. In recent years the Wildwood Cemetery Assoc. has soliciated funds to replace those headstones with markers that had the actual name of the person. If you will see: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txkaufma/community/statehos/htm it will give you exactly the info you need to submit to the hospital to possibly obtain information. Good luck! Kathy
