The episode was entitled "1800 Days to Justice". They filmed on the main street of Crandall, in front of the then U.S. Post Office. There were shots of the Crandall Train Depot. They also filmed in the Crandall Cemetary. I have a copy of this episode and have been trying to match up the scenes in the episode, with present day Crandall. The depot, heck, even the railroad tracks are gone. But the building where the post office was, is still standing. And the cememtary looks unchanged from 1960. My question concerns a concrete road that is shown in the opening scene. I think it is what is now called County Road 4124. It parallels the old RR track roadbed. I matched up an old concrete bridge that crosses a creek when entering the town from the north. Currently this road dead ends. My question is; in 1960, did this road cross the East Fork of the Trinity and link up with a road in Combine? Seems odd for them to build a nice two lane concrete road back then, just to have it end at the Crandall city limits. The RR tracks crossed the East Fork back then and I wonder if the road did also. If you can answer this, or if you have any memories of the filming of this TV show in Crandall, please feel free to email me. macredoak@aol.com Thanks for reading this. P.S. If you see a guy taking pics in the Crandall cememtary, it is probably me.

I'm sure the the death certificate for David is the same person. James, however, might be someone else even though the birth place of Kentucky and date match...about 1827. The James I'm looking for isn't in the 1910 or 1920 census. His wife is listed as a widow in 1910. Of course, could be she's divorced and not telling the truth. I've found that to be real common back then. Thanks again for your help.

It is rumored that Henry lost his arm during war and returned to fight some more after his recovery. Searching for any info on Captain Wade's wounds during the Civil War. This information is for a Wade relative in the mid-east who is writing a Wade book. Captain Wade was listed present for duty in December 1862 during the Holly Springs raid. Especially interested in any info whether health or his actions. The 6th TX was part of the Texas Brigade and led the charge into Holly Springs commanded by Lt. Col. John Griffith. This was one of the most successful raids of the war.

Do you have any other information that might be of help to me? The 1880 census of Cobb County Georgia lists Ira Weems, his wife Mary and 2 boys, John L. and William F. I believe Ira divorced (or left) Mary and went to Texas where he remarried. The 1910 census of Brown county Texas lists him and his second family. He later turns up in Kaufman County TX with his family where he lived out his life and died on Jan. 11 1936. John Lee and William Franklin Weems had their last names changed to Nunn as a result of being adopted by Mary's second husband. I do not know and cannot find the maiden name of Mary nor her second husband's name at all, John and William appear in the 1910 census of Milton County, GA with families of their own.
