Mrs. J.J. Sanders died in Kaufman County, Texas on 26 July 1922. I believe this is the same Mrs. J.J. Sanders that gave birth to a baby girl in San Antonio, Texas on 11 March 1911. This child's birth certificate listed her parents as J.J. Sanders and Mrs. J.J. Sanders. I cannot find a J.J. Sanders in Bexar County in 1910 or 1920 so I am now searching Kaufman County based on the above death of Mrs. J.J. Sanders. Is anyone researching this family in Kaufman County that could help with given names? Tks. Fred

He is listed on 1880 census in Kaufman County, working for the railroad. Am not sure when accident took place but he was living in Dallas as a broomaker in 1900 so had to be sometime between 1880 and 1900 (I believe it was around 1895). Any info on this or any info on Peter James Kelly at all would be greatly appreciated.

I have a record of an appeal dated May 4, 1927 in Kaufman County for a William Johnson. The judgment was affirmed and it was for transporting whiskey in an automobile--this was during Prohibition, after all. I would like to find the original case record--it probably would have been around the same time and was for a William Johnson. I believe this may possibly be my great-grandfather who did a little time during prohibition for the same thing. I need more details from the original court case to determine whether it was indeed my great-grandfather who was residing back in Alabama, but may have been traveling back and forth to Texas where my grandfather had been born and his mother had returned after the divorce. If this is my great-grandfather, I'd like to know where he was incarcerated and the exact time period. Thanks in advance for any potential assistance.

Looking for descendants of Clarisa McBee & Johnson W Wortham, I have their Bond for marriage dated 30 Aug 1837 in Hardeman Co., TN. Do not know for sure that they married as I don't have the License-but if they did what happened to them where did they go etc., we believe Clarisa is the daughter of Obediah McBee and Catherine Fann. I do not find them on any census. I find 2 land grants to a John Wortham #912 & 913 in Van Zandt Co., TX, issued in Dec 1851. Clarisa's brother William H McBee helped establish both the Counties of Kaufman and Van Zandt and already had land there and died there in 1852. Hello, Kaufman County Listers, I am seeking information on the family of Wilma Louise Buttomer who married Philip Joseph Wenski. Both she and Philip died in Mabank, Texas in August of 1986. I believe they lived in Dallas County, however. They had a son, Philip Newton Wenski. My interest lies in the ancestors of Wilma Louise Buttomer. I would be most pleased to hear from anyone connected. Perhaps an obituary was printed on one or both. One of them died on Aug 01, and the other on Aug 28.
