The cemetery that I most associate with Red Oak is the Rader Cemetery. They have an annual Homecoming at the old one room church across the road for families who have loved ones there. This has been going on for years and years, since my great grandparents were there. It is always the 4th Sunday in May. Families of mine that are buried there are Fair, Rupe, Price, Wolford, and Luttrell. I believe there is a website that has those who are buried there. You may be able to find it on Kaufman Site. Sorry, I don't have the path handy. Other cemeteries nearby are Black Jack, and College Mound. Looking for information about ancestors of William Martin Nash and Esther Hall of Kaufman TX. They had six children - Jane Lou b 1927, Franklin Alexander b 1931, Merle, Gerald, Pete, and Max b 1929. I don't know the circumstances, but Esther was not able to take care of her children, and placed them in the Buckner Orphans Home Kaufman (or Dallas) TX. The family hasn't been able to find any information about William, Esther, or their relatives. William's father may have been Franklin or Alexander Nash and his mother Lucy ? If any of these names sound familiar, please email me at [email protected] Any help will be greatly appreciated Thanks! Barb
What are the parents' names?
I know this message was posted back in 1999 - I and many others are researching the families of Clement Corley. My first husband was related to Clement Corley born in May 15, 1810 in Walker County Alabama and married to Elizabeth Rayburn. Those of us who are looking have found quite a large family. However we are still trying to find the parents of Clement Corley. We have Clement Coffee Corley. If you want to see the whole file please send your e-mail and I would be more than happy to provide it. The Corley's who are my children's ancestors and descendents came from Oklahoma and lived in California. Hope to hear from you Judy Covert

Hi, Do you have any information about Dr. George A. Johnson who practiced medicine in Kaufman County in the late 1800-early 1900's? He was married to Jennie O. Boykin and had children, Robert Roy, Mabel Claire, Una Lee, Buelah Jane and Joseph. If you have any information I would appreciate it.
[Responding to a request for the URL for the Wilson Family Bible on the Kaufman County GenWeb page] http://www.rootsweb.com/~txkaufma/wall/wilsbibl.htm I'll take this opportunity to mention that the name that I previously read as "James K. Wilson" should be "Jane K. Wilson". Jane K Wilson married another Methodist minister, Henderson D. Palmer.
Ira Lightfoot Wilson is buried in Forest Hills Cemetery in Union County Arkansas. I have more info if would be helpful to you. Anyone have information on or prior to John Wilson and Ann Kiney Wilson? [email protected]
What is the CURRENT address for this family Bible? It appears GenWeb is no longer active. Thanks!

My Nelson family is from Kaufman Co., Texas. My great-grandfather, Clifford Mason Nelson, was born in Scurry in 1902. Clifford's father, William Lewis Nelson, was married to Maggie Amanda Swayze in Kaufman in Dec 1892. This , however, is the earliest records I can find on this family. William's parents are H. M. Nelson and Alpha Miller. William's birth certificate lists his birth as 22 jan 1870 in Texas. No other information about their origin is given. As for a Pascal Nelson, I have not yet come accross this person.
