His real name was William harold Collier. He told my Grandfather that he changed his name in the early 1900s to his Mothers maiden name.(Cherry) My Grandfathers name was Sterling, unusual but true. My fathers name is Sterling too. Middle name is earl. This name is unusual and the Collier link grabbed my interest. My great grandfather married Elizabeth Staglung in Washington State then moved to Ark. to be near his family.
