Rodgers of Orange County drowned when his car plunged into a barrow ditch or canal beside the road in about 1960. - was told that this drowning occured between Port Arthur and Orange in Jefferson County. Oscar C. Rodgers and my Mother were 1st cousins - his parents were James M. & Esther (Phillips) Rodgers of Leon Co TX.
