My great grandfather was James Taylor SMITH b. in Louisiana 1827-28. He was married to Julia Ann STEPHENS-SMITH b. in VA., around 1833-34. They had 10 children and one of their daughters, Annie Laura (Laurie) SMITH, married a man by the name of George Crane, b. in British Columbia, Canada around 1881. Both my great grandparents lived with them in Mid-County and as far as I know James Taylor died in Louisiana, but Julia Ann died in Mid-County. George and Anna Laura's children were Lawrence J., Loyd L., Alson. and Mildred. I imagine that they are no longer living, but maybe some of their children or grandchildren will read this and want to get in touch with me.
